Wingrove Academy - Executive Director, Principal Giving
Wingrove Academy is a new, private non-profit, PreK through 12th school in Wellington, scheduled to open in Fall, 2028. Designed from the ground up, it offers a future-focused education that blends academic excellence with vibrant programs in the arts and athletics-supported by a campus built for collaboration, creativity, and growth.
Samantha is a strategic and mission-driven executive with more than 25 years of experience in higher education, athletics, governance, and fundraising. Known for her ability to set vision and mobilize people and resources, she has led high-performing teams, strengthened operations, and executed transformational initiatives that deliver sustainable growth.
Her expertise was developed through senior leadership roles at Georgetown, Texas A&M, and Wake Forest, and as Director of Athletics at William & Mary, where she oversaw all aspects of the university’s NCAA Division I program. Across these roles, she advanced facility improvements, recruited and developed coaches and staff, strengthened student-athlete success initiatives, and led fundraising and engagement efforts that secured mission-aligned resources and elevated visibility. After a successful career on campus, Samantha took her expertise to the private sector, serving as Senior Vice President at RealResponse, where she led collegiate strategy and business development, strengthened internal operations, and helped fuel explosive national growth and revenue expansion.
She holds a J.D. from Campbell University and a B.A. from Gordon College, where she was a four-year varsity basketball student-athlete. Samantha currently serves on the Board of WeCOACH, is an active advocate in collegiate equestrian sport, and remains dedicated to leadership development, well-being, and character in education and sport.
